Identify What's Bugging You
Subterranean Termites Termite Swarmer
Termites are creamy white in color and about 1/8th inch long. Swarmers are about the same length but black in color. Termites damage the wood in your home or business by eating it. For Termites a liquid Termiticide (Termidor SC) treatment of the entire exterior is recommended as termites will usually move to another area if a Spot Treatment is done. Our treatment comes with a 10 year warranty, no annual fees, and still costs less than most companies. Please call for a free quote.

Carpenter Ants (1/4 to 1/2 inch long)
Carpenter Ants usually build colonies inside your walls or in wood trim that is on your exterior. They damage the wood when they build the colony inside it rather than eating it like Termites do. Often there are small piles of wood shavings (frass) beneath the area where the colony is. We treat them by drilling small pinholes into the area where nest are and treating them with residual insecticide followed by a good attic and exterior treatment.
Acrobat Ants
Easily identified by a distinct "heart-shaped" abdomen (rear end). Acrobat Ants build their colonies in between pieces of wood or in gaps along the exterior of the structure. Often there are small piles of powdery material (frass) beneath the area where the colony is. This frass usually has a "spongy" feel to it because it is the insulation from inside the wall that the ants push out as they move in. If the frass is wood, it is probably Carpenter Ants. Treatment is almost identical to Carpenter Ants (see above) but this ant does not destroy wood like Carpenter Ants do.
Wolf Spider or Hobo Spider
This is probably the most common spider seen in this area. It can bite, but like most spiders, it is not very aggressive and the venom is not nearly as powerful as a Brown Recluse or Black Widow. Spiders are covered in our Standard Pest Program which is a month-to-month agreement so you are not "Tied Down" to a long term contract.
American Cockroach (also referred to as a Water Bug)
American Roach adults are usually larger than a quarter in size. This is a very common roach to this area and it is usually associated with dead & decaying leaves/grass and dark, wet areas. Covered under our Standard Pest Program. Prices Vary
German Cockroach
Usually smaller than a quarter. This is a very common roach to this area and they are difficult to eliminate. Although German Roaches are typically covered under our Standard Pest Program, if your home or business has an infestation, a German Roach Clean-out Procedure may need to be done prior to starting a pest program. Please call for prices & details
Fire Ants
Although they can invade the interior of a home, they are usually "trailing in" from an outside mound or one that may be under the foundation. Fire Ants are covered under our Standard Pest Program. If you're seeing these in your yard, you may want to consider our "Fire Ant Free" Program. We can treat your entire yard once a year and Fire Ants are guaranteed not to come back for that year.
Pharaoh Ants
These type of ants can only be effectively treated with a baiting process, and they can often be very difficult to eliminate. These ants often become alarmed when a typical pesticide is used on them and the colony splits into two or more parts. Please call our office for more details.
